Privacy Policy
Your family's health information is the most personal data there is. This is exactly what we collect, why, who can see it, and how you stay in control.
Last updated October 17, 2026
The short version
A plain-English summary. The full text below is what applies.
Never sold, never ads
We don't sell health information or use it for advertising, and we don't train AI models on it.
You decide who sees what
Family members, practices and agencies only see what you share, and you can take access back.
Protected like medical records
Encrypted, hosted in the US on infrastructure covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement.
Delete whenever you like
Deleting your account removes it and the records that go with it straight away.
01Who we are and what this covers
Titan.Care ("we", "us") is a healthcare technology company based in Chicago, Illinois. We run Titan.Care (the "Service"): a website and mobile apps that help people organize medications, appointments, health records and care for themselves and the people they look after.
This policy explains how we collect, use, share and protect information when you use the Service, including information from Epic MyChart and connected devices. By using Titan.Care you agree to the practices described here.
02What we collect
Account information
Your name, email address, date of birth and password (stored only as a secure hash). If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from them. On mobile we record your device platform so device features work correctly.
Health information you enter
Anything you add for yourself or the people you care for: medications and schedules, appointments, allergies, immunizations, symptoms, pain and diary entries, vitals, documents and notes.
Health information from Epic MyChart
If you connect a MyChart account, we retrieve the records you authorize, which can include:
- Appointments, past and upcoming
- Medication lists, prescriptions and dispense records
- Immunizations, allergies, conditions and lab results
- Clinical documents such as visit summaries
- Demographics such as name and date of birth
We only access the data types you approve during the MyChart connection.
Apple Health and Android Health Connect
With your permission, the iOS app reads from Apple Health and the Android app reads from Health Connect: heart rate and heart rate variability, blood oxygen, blood pressure, blood glucose, weight, body temperature, steps and activity, sleep, respiratory rate and (on Android) exercise sessions. We never write data back to either. You can revoke access at any time in your phone's settings.
Connected devices
If you connect them, we receive data from Oura (sleep, readiness, heart rate variability, temperature, activity), Withings (blood pressure, weight, blood oxygen, heart rate), Dexcom and FreeStyle Libre (continuous glucose readings). Each connection is authorized separately and can be disconnected from the Wearables & Devices page.
Messages and shared content
Messages, photos and files you send to members of your care circle.
Information from care organizations
If a home care agency or medical practice you have connected with adds information (for example a medication they manage or a care plan field they choose to share with family), it appears in your account.
Feedback and support
When you contact us or use a feedback form, we receive what you write and, if you give them, your name and email address. We ask you not to include medical details in these messages.
Technical information
Device type, operating system, browser, IP address, pages visited and timestamps, used to keep the Service secure and working. We do not use advertising or analytics trackers.
03How we use it
We use information to:
- Run the Service and show your records, medications and appointments
- Send the reminders and alerts you turn on, by email and push notification
- Sync data from MyChart and connected devices
- Let you share care with your care circle, and with the practices and agencies you choose
- Provide AI features such as Ask Titan and health maintenance alerts (see below)
- Verify your identity, including the sign-in codes we email you, and keep accounts secure
- Answer your questions and feedback
- Meet legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service
AI features
Ask Titan, health maintenance alerts and briefs analyze the health information in your account to organize it and suggest questions or reminders grounded in published clinical guidelines. This processing runs on cloud infrastructure covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement, and your data is not kept by any AI service beyond the request itself.
When you have turned on Titan.Care SI, each document that arrives from a connected hospital is read once, and a plain-language summary of it (what it means, medicine changes, home instructions, follow-ups and warning signs) is saved with the person's record. These summaries follow the same sharing rules as the document itself and are deleted when the document or the record is deleted.
We keep Ask Titan questions and answers with the person's record so we can review quality and safety. They are deleted when that record is deleted. We do not use your health information to train AI models.
AI output is information, not a diagnosis or medical advice. Always check with a licensed clinician before making a medical decision.
05How we protect it
We follow the safeguards HIPAA requires for health information, whether or not a particular record is legally covered by HIPAA:
- Encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest, with MyChart and device credentials separately encrypted with AES-256
- Hosting in the United States on infrastructure covered by a HIPAA business associate agreement
- Sign-in codes sent by email, hashed passwords, and sessions that expire
- Role-based access inside care circles, practices and agencies
- Audit logs of who accessed health information, and when
No system is perfectly secure, and we can't guarantee absolute security. If a breach affects your information, we will notify you as the law requires. More detail is on our Security page.
06Keeping and deleting
We keep your information while your account is open.
When you delete your account, it is deleted immediately, along with the records you own, including Ask Titan history. If someone else in a care circle is an admin for a person you manage, that person's record passes to them instead of being deleted, so their care history isn't lost. Copies in encrypted backups expire on their normal schedule, and we keep security audit logs for as long as the law requires.
Disconnecting MyChart deletes our access tokens straight away. Records already synced stay in your account unless you choose to remove them too.
07Your choices and rights
- See and correct: view and edit your information in the app at any time.
- Delete: Profile, then Delete Account. Or email support@titan.care.
- Get a copy: email support@titan.care for a copy of your data in a machine-readable format.
- Disconnect: MyChart from the MyChart page; devices from Wearables & Devices; Apple Health and Health Connect from your phone's settings.
- Control sharing: remove care circle members, change roles, and choose what each practice can see.
- Notifications: turn reminders and non-essential emails off in Settings.
We respond to privacy requests within 5 business days.
08Children
Children under 13 cannot create an account, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them directly. Parents and guardians can manage a child's health records from their own account. If you believe a child under 13 has given us information, email support@titan.care and we will delete it.
09Connected services
When you connect one of these services, its own privacy policy also applies to the data it holds.
Epic MyChart
Connected through Epic's patient authorization; we never see your MyChart password. Titan.Care is not affiliated with or endorsed by Epic Systems Corporation.
Apple Health and Android Health Connect
Read on your device with your permission. We do not share this data for advertising or unrelated purposes, and we do not sell it, in line with Apple's HealthKit guidelines and Google's Health Connect policies.
Oura, Withings, Dexcom and FreeStyle Libre
Connected with your authorization and disconnectable at any time from Wearables & Devices.
10Changes to this policy
When we change this policy we post the new version here and update the date at the top. For significant changes we also tell you by email or in the app. Continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept the updated policy.
